However, suppose the website is hosted on a server that does not support .htaccess files. In that case, this file can be placed in any directory that allows programmatic execution. Inside the .htacess file is a set of directives configuring the Apache Web Server. The directives enable or disable functionality and features that will affect how content within the website behaves.
